For years, Friends of Woodman’s Center has been honored to help share the vision for this remarkable community-driven and funded project, keep the community informed, and build excitement for what is to come.
And the good news? Our role is not ending.
Today, we continue to work closely with business leaders, local, state, and federal lawmakers, community organizations, City of Janesville, Janesville Area Convention, and Visitors Bureau, The Sports Facilities Companies, Woodman’s Center staff, and private donors to ensure the community’s vision for the facility remains.
But, as the transformation continues, so does our role.
Now, a Woodman’s Center employee team is stepping forward to share facility updates as they prepare for the September 20, 2025, Grand Opening Welcome Weekend. The facility is filling key staff positions, final preparations are underway, and there are new ways for the public to connect directly with the people who will run the daily operations.

We'll still be here at friendsofwoodmanscenter.org, but the biggest news to share is that the full Woodman’s Center website is now live. You can explore what is in store, learn about upcoming programs and events, and meet the growing team that will bring this facility to life.
From boosting regional economic growth to hosting dynamic programs and unforgettable events, the impact of the Woodman’s Center will be felt for years to come. We encourage our supporters, donors, and friends to visit the new website, follow the official social media accounts, and get to know the staff who will carry this vision forward.
