Season’s greetings!
As 2025 comes to a close, we’ve been reflecting on just how far our community has come in such a short time — and how much of that story began with you.
Because of your generosity, Woodman’s Sports & Convention Center has quickly become a place where Janesville comes together — to play, to cheer, to celebrate and to support the causes that matter most.
A look at the early momentum inside Woodman’s Sports & Convention Center
Here’s a snapshot of what your support has made possible in just a few short months:
More than 50,000 people have walked through the doors of Woodman’s Center.
Mercyhealth Arena has hosted more than 450 hockey practices, 160 hockey games, four tournaments and 70 freestyle, school and homeschool skate sessions.
In the Robert & Delores Kennedy Convention Center, we’ve seen eight key events, including the YMCA’s Sip & Support, ECHO’s Empty Bowls, Wisconsin Soybean Association meetings and Forward Janesville’s Annual Dinner — gatherings and community meetings that strengthen the fabric of our local needs.
The Robert & Delores Kennedy Convention Center has also hosted 350 high school wrestlers and is set to host gymnastics and dance tournaments in the first quarter of 2026.
Each number represents kids lacing up skates for the first time, neighbors gathering around shared traditions, organizations raising critical funds and community members seeing — and experiencing — what a shared space like this can do.
Woodman’s Center continues to serve as a living example of what our community can achieve together, with your generosity at its heart.
Are you looking to wrap up your year-end giving?
If you’d like to make a year-end gift, we invite you to support Friends of Woodman’s Center so we can sustain this momentum and welcome even more people in the year ahead. Your gift helps us continue building on what’s already happening here — and keep the doors open for the next 50,000 visits and beyond.
