Countdown to Woodman’s Center Grand Opening Weekend Has Begun

Can you sense it? Because the wait is almost over.
The Woodman’s Center will officially open its doors with a Community Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Friday, Sept. 19, from 10 a.m. to noon. Join local leaders, neighbors, and friends as we cut the ribbon and welcome the public for a first look inside. Bring your family and your excitement to help us mark this historic moment for Janesville.
Following the ribbon cutting, the celebration continues with two full days of activities for all ages.
Grand Opening Weekend: Sept. 20–21
Free Ice Skating and Live Entertainment
Enjoy free public skating sessions, inspiring figure skating demonstrations, and local hockey scrimmages. Be part of the first moments on the new ice.

Janesville Jets Home Opener
On Saturday at 7 p.m., the Janesville Jets will play their first home game of the season in their new home, the Mercyhealth Arena.

To honor their generosity and share excitement for what is ahead, an exclusive VIP Donor Debut Event will be cohosted with city leaders and Woodman’s Center staff on Thursday, Sept. 18, from 6 to 9 p.m.
This invitation-only evening will be the first celebration inside the new facility, featuring tours, dinner, and recognition for those whose vision and commitment made the Woodman’s Center a reality.
